Great Western Show --March 17th -March 20th

WALKING ON THE WILD SIDE

GREAT WESTERN LIVING AND DESIGN SHOW

My first art show in Montana is quickly approaching. I am very excited and honored to be part of the Great Western Living and Design Show held in Great Falls, Montana (https://www.thegreatwesternshow.com/). Every year centered around Charles Russell’s birthday, March 19th, the town of Great Falls, Montana celebrates with a multi-venue art event known as Western Art Week. This week-long event is celebrating its 53rd year with thirteen art shows and more than 500 artists from all over the world.

The Great Western, Jay Contway , Legends West, Best of the West  and Celebration of Native American Artists shows will all join together under the same roof at the 4 Seasons Arena in ExpoPark. Join me for the largest show in Montana which runs from March 17th through March 20th. Be sure to stop by my booth (Lea.F Images) and then stick around to listen to live musical artists Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.

I am delighted to be a part of this annual celebration held in honor of the legendary Charles Russell. My wildlife photography will be a great fit with the “Western Art” theme for which Montana is famous. Many of Montana’s iconic animals will be featured at my booth where my photography highlights wild animals in their wild landscapes.

Here is a small sampling of  my limited edition prints available at the show or on my website (www.leaf-images.com).

Back Story: Owls are always a favorite subject for me. During my latest venture to Glacier National Park, My husband spotted this Northern pygmy owl right next to a parking area for a trail. Since Northern pygmy owls are diurnal they can be found hunting during the day. This little one picked a great spot as on several occasions when we drove by I noticed a small flock of pine siskins in the trees. Small song birds are always on the menu for the pygmy.

Species: Northern Pygmy Owl ( Glaucidium gnoma )

Want to see more of my wildlife photos and hear the stories behind the pictures? Then be sure to mark your calendar for Western Art Week (March 17 - 20). Then hop on a plane or into your car and come out to Great Falls for the largest art show in Montana. I will be at my booth and ready to meet you.

Cheers,
