WALKING ON THE WILD SIDE
Here's Looking At You
Imagine sitting quietly on the edge of a large body of water, patiently watching a loon way off in the distance as it gracefully navigates the waters. You are in awe of the loon as it dives underwater for minutes at a time, emerging hundreds of feet away from where it started. As you watch, the loon continues diving again and again with no discernible pattern. Minutes, then hours pass by as you sit - until to your surprise, the loon emerges a mere thirty feet away. The image captured highlights a sense of vulnerability, as the loon turns and stares at you intently, equally as surprised by your presence.
Just a little snippet of my day with this Common Loon. More to come at a later date as this was one of those special days for me filled with epic wildlife encounters.
You are not a"Loon"....
